Springfield's big summer launch to welcome the warmer weather and kick off the season in style!
Join us at Springfield Convent for a very special afternoon where South African wine meets live opera and delicious appetisers, with proceeds supporting the school’s Music Department.
Fresh from her acclaimed performances in Berlin, Springfield Convent alumna and professional mezzo-soprano Summer Carne returns to her former school for a very special afternoon of wine, music, good food and community in the beautiful school garden.
Now based in Germany, Summer is the founder of A Taste of Opera, an experience that brings together two of her greatest passions: opera and South African wine. Guests will enjoy her signature Opera & Wine experience, with a special appearance by the Springfield Choir, who will join Summer for a few songs.
This is an afternoon for the Springfield community to come together — alumni, parents, past and present families, staff and friends of the school — and experience what one of their own has taken from Springfield to the world and brought home again.
