Story
Lievland, meaning Loveland in Afrikaans, is a historic farm in Paarl defined by warmth and quiet charm. One of its most beloved stories tells of two horses that adopted a baby springbok, an unlikely bond observed in the paddocks. This tender scene became the inspiration for the Lievland wine labels, a symbol of gentle coexistence and love at the heart of the estate.
Tasting Notes
Light straw colour with notes of white peach, citrus and pineapple on the nose. The mouthfeel is rich and ripe and coupled with vibrant acidity.
Winemaker’s Note
Hand-harvested Chenin Blanc grapes were gently crushed and fermented in a combination of stainless steel tanks and large-format oak at controlled temperatures. The wine was matured on fine lees for several months, building texture and complexity before bottling.
Food Pairing
Pair with goats cheese, quince and barely ripened pears.
