Spier Good Natured Organic Rosé is a vibrant, organically crafted rosé from South Africa’s Western Cape. Part of Spier’s Good Natured Organic range, it reflects the estate’s commitment to more regenerative farming, with organically farmed grapes grown in deep, fertile decomposed granite soils.
Tasting Notes
Beautifully pale and iridescent pink, this rosé is crisp and refreshing, with inviting aromas and flavours of strawberry, sour cherry and delicate florals. Citrus and subtle vanilla follow on the palate, creating a fresh, elegant finish.
Its ideal musical pairing is “Summertime” from Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess — light, languid and unmistakably summery, with the same easy elegance as this refreshing rosé.
Food Pairing
Perfect on its own or alongside smoked salmon tartare, sushi, fresh salads and mild cheeses. Its crisp acidity and delicate fruit also make it an excellent choice for light summer dishes.
Winemaker’s Note
The 2024 blend consists of 35% Merlot, 25% Grenache Noir, 14% Malbec, 14% Pinotage and 12% Shiraz. The organically grown grapes were harvested at optimal ripeness and processed with minimal intervention. After gentle crushing and destemming, the juice was fermented in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks and matured for four months on its gross lees to enhance structure while preserving freshness and fruit character
