M.A.N Family Wines, Rosé, 2024
Story
Crafted in the traditional Côtes de Provence style, the M.A.N. Family Wines Hanekraai Rosé is inspired by the first light of dawn — “hanekraai” meaning the rooster’s morning call. Sourced from dry-farmed vineyards in South Africa’s Coastal Region, the blend benefits from warm days, cooling ocean breezes, and shale-rich soils that bring freshness, bright fruit, and elegant balance to the wine.
Tasting Notes
Delicate salmon-pink in colour, this rosé opens with aromas of strawberries, red currants, pomegranate, and rose petals. The palate is crisp and refreshing, layered with juicy red berry fruit, subtle citrus, and a clean, lively finish.
Its ideal musical pairing is Vivaldi’s Till There was you by Meridith Willson — bright, rose like romantic, and full of freshness.
Food Pairing
Perfect with seafood, summer salads, picnic dishes, grilled prawns, or lightly spiced Asian cuisine.
Winemaker’s Note
Whole bunches are gently pressed with minimal skin contact to preserve freshness and delicate colour. Fermented in stainless steel and aged briefly on the lees, the wine retains its vibrant fruit character while gaining texture and finesse.
